Glee pulls a tear…

Last night’s episode of Glee may have contained the most ambitious LGBT-forward plot of the series to date. It’s excitedly clear that the reality of Kurt’s predicament is quickly surpassing the relatable story that propelled Ugly Betty’s Justin towards the later half of the recently cancelled ABC series. The confrontation (football jock perpetually bullies quite “abnormal” and openly gay teen) seems to be something we’ve seen, read about, or heard whispers of occurring but Glee may be the first network series to produce a robust plot that portrays the bullying of LGBT youth (or anyone perceived as “unique”). Let’s see where the writers go next…
